Robert Pfaff is the owner of RWP Financial Consulting and has over 30 years of experience in accounting, finance and operations in manufacturing and distribution. His focus in business has always been financial control, cost effectiveness, prioritized spending, enhanced payback and intuitive planning

His career began as a cost accountant that formed a very strong foundation for his career to progress quickly; he assumed the positions of Controller and subsequently Chief Financial Officer in both the private and public sectors.

Robert is not your typical accountant. While he has acquired a very strong financial background he also has the unique quality of being an entrepreneur. These skills and experiences give him great empathy and understanding of the issues that face the small business entrepreneur on a daily basis.

Throughout his career, Robert has experienced both large and small, public and private organizations with some very, very critical financial issues … which caused him to wonder … if large organizations were experiencing these types of financial issues, what were the small entrepreneur businesses experiencing?

Robert recognized that the management of most small businesses have their expertise in the areas of manufacturing, marketing and sales but not in the financial area. As a consequence they find themselves spending a disproportionate amount of time micro-managing cash flows, bank relations, suppliers and clients… time that would be better spent on growing their business.

His concept is to open the financial minds and eyes of Entrepreneurs…to be their Financial Umbrella…to focus on small Canadian controlled businesses that cannot justify the financial cost associated with a full time Controller or CFO.

The virtual CFO/Controllership service that RWP Financial Consulting provides to an organization is a three-step process: First - assessing the current financial stability and controls. Second - providing comprehensive financial reporting necessary for making informed business decisions. Third - development of short, medium and long term financial plans, a necessary and critical element in the achievement in any organization’s business plans and their future.
